2018 Waiver Whispers – Week 9

Keke Coutee, WR Houston Texans (Rostered in less than 7% of NFL.com leagues) As the war of attrition rages on in the NFL, it claimed another victim in Will Fuller V. After Fuller exploded against the Dolphins last Thursday night, he came up limping and favoring his knee on an almost deep route touchdown. MRI’s on Friday confirmed he tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. This should mean increased opportunities for rookie wideout Keke Coutee, who will need to shake injury concerns of his own as he tries to make his way back from a nagging hamstring injury but Coutee has been solid, albeit in limited work. In the three full games that he played he saw 27 targets, catching 20 of them for 193 yards and a touchdown. With Fuller gone a role is there to be had for Coutee and he has the speed and playmaking ability to be a reliable fantasy option for the rest of this season if he can stay healthy. (more…)
